There are beach chairs, a beach tent, a beach umbrella, a beach mat, boogie boards, linens, an iron & ironing board, a hairdryer, and other bath amenities. A surfboard comes with the apartment and will be provided upon guest request in advance. More amenities are detailed on the Amenities page.

LAUNDRY
A few steps away from the apartment is a laundry room across from the elevator. The cost is $3.50/wash & $3.50/dry. Detergent is provided free in the unit. The washer & dryer also operate by credit card or app. A bigger laundry room is in the building’s basement. A commercial Laundromat, adjacent to the 7-Eleven next door, is an option.
ACCESS
There is an entrance on Ala Wai Blvd accessible for people who may be challenged by stairs. The main (McCully St.) entrance has eleven steps. The building and apartment access is 100% secured; a resident manager and security officers are on site. A key FOB works for all entrances and elevators. There is a $250 replacement fee for key loss. Guests will be provided self-check-in with lockbox instructions before arrival.
NEARBY
The Royal Aloha building rates a high score for walking friendliness. It is adjacent to the Ala Wai canal; a 2-minute-walk to the bus stop; a few steps to the 7-Eleven; and nearby are the Food Pantry Supermarket, Fort DeRussy Park, the Army Museum, the Waikiki International Market, McDonalds, the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the Hawaii Convention Center, and the massive Ala Moana Shopping Center (formerly the world’s largest). Across the street from the latter is a Walmart and Sam’s Club. Most notably the fabulous Waikiki beaches and a huge variety of restaurants and stores in Waikiki also are within walking distance from this unit. The location will give you the best of all worlds.
PARKING & TRANSPORTATION
Parking is tough & expensive in Waikiki. Guests staying in our apartment have no hassle with parking because we provide a FREE 24hr secured parking stall located in a building across the street from our unit. If you book a place without parking for your vehicle, you’d pay $40-$50 per day at a hotel nearby, if available.
For those not driving, Lyft, Uber and cabs are usually available within minutes. The building is little more than across the street from a major bus stop that links directly the Ala Moana Shopping Center, downtown, and the whole of Waikiki. Honolulu has excellent public transportation (The Bus) that can take you all over the island. And there is the Waikiki Trolley if you just want to explore Waikiki. Car, bicycle, moped, and motorcycle rentals are in multiple locations within a few minutes of walking.
CLEANING/BEDDING
For guests' safe health, this condo strictly follows the CDC's enhanced cleaning protocol. It is cleaned with disinfection 24 hrs before guest check-in. Hand sanitation is provided.
All linens including the bedding set (quilt, fitted sheet, bed sheet, duvet, pillow shams) are replaced and washed every time after guests check out.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
The building is located next to an intersection, meaning that you will hear traffic noise. This is Waikiki, a center with many lovely tourists, a busy city fraught with life. It’s not known for quiet, but our family wouldn’t live anywhere else, and we find the noise quite tolerable. Light sleepers may bring earplugs. All rooms have jalousie windows covered with 3-layer darkening curtains. This is an old but well-maintained building with 24/7 security staff on site. The apartment was renovated in 2023.
PAYMENT
Payment of 50% is due at the time of the booking. The remaining balance of 50% will be charged 30 days prior to the arrival date. Payment is accepted by credit card, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle. Other payment methods can be negotiated. Bookings made before 29 days of guest arrival will be required 100% payment.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Fifty percent of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
Cancellation during the stay, due to any external reasons which are not caused by the host and the unit itself, will not garner a refund.
